Think about it, on a lot of our cars, what else is red or yellow? (Disregard if you have a red or yellow car.)
Nothing... Clear lenses all around and tint the rear lights.
I dunno how clear tail lights's look on a silver car, but with the black center panel, I don't think it'd look smooth... On a black car, maybe though...

Tennis, anyone
That window tint film with the silver or shinney side out
will conseal everything under the outer cover. and when lit up, only then will one see the lights. like a 2 way mirror. does that make sense ?

I wanna combine the roundness with this:

So that they show round when on, and black when off... But that square has gotta go.
Probably just gotta spray the black paint with the circles covered up in tape, then remove the tape and spray the tint... Maybe put the circles back on and spray some silver so that any light that does not go out the hole gets reflected back and then out the hole to make it brighter when on...
Dunno how to make a black reflector though... Is that even possible?

I fund the lights REALLY nice... That's one thing I like a bit less about 1st gens is they really screwed up the look of the rear with those lights :S ... ESPECIALLY that that's what everybody will see because they can't catch up to these cars :P
NE ways, the idea is very good .. Except it would have to be black during the daytime. And maybe you could make it match with the center plastic ? making it blend in ??
Eric.

Dave Randall w/ a TII first gen has them on his.
they WOULD look amazing, except for the fact that that stupid red reflector in the middle catches the corners of the circles and lights up. Instead you get a goofy dumbell looking thing. We are trying to figure out how to get rid of it.
