rough idle problems help (video explanation!)

Hi everyone I've been having this problem for a while now and i love this car to death i just want it to be rock solid reliable and i also want it work well before i buy bolt-ons and other upgrades. I posted a while back about this problem but i never followed up due to being on vacation. i just want to apologize to everyone who took the time to comment back on my old post and i never responded. This time i made a video because it was easier and i figured it would be better explanation. sorry for the lengthiness due to my hesitation and any other mistakes. also my bad for the open door buzzer, just realized how annoying that was.
Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

Seems like you really know and have narrowed down your options. Realistically, do the rats next delete, takes about an hour, only hard part is fabricating a block off plate for your intake. Rebuild your carb and see what happens. It does seem like a vac leak to me too but since you replace most of your lines I don't see where that would happen.

As far as your plugs go, trailing don;t really do much other than clean up your emissions. Its normal to be able to pull them at idle and nothing changes. however, you should check to see if those lines have spark coming through them just to see. As far as them coming in to effect, that has to do with your vac advancement.

So yeah rebuild your carb, and delete your rats nest, that will eliminate a LOT of factors.

On the SAs, trailing plugs don't work full time. Don't bother setting the timing until you can get the idle down to 750-800 rpms. As for vacuum leaks, make sure your new hoses are a small enough diameter to seal, then check the hose that goes to the underside of the air cleaner to the idle compensator.

Oh and I'm planning on getting a new tranny cuz I'm running a four speed right now and I want that extra gear. I also have a new centerforce dual fiction clutch and a lightened steel fly to install.but do you recommend places to find a rebuilt 5spd? I found two places already but I don't know if they are any good......oh and my suspension is completely shot(original everything) I have only been able to find rear shocks and springs for the 1980 all of the front ones are for 1981 and up, am I missing something or am I just blind?

Not really sure. Can you isolate where its coming from? Based on the video it just looks like it was your gauge needle switching directions. I'm not terrible familiar with SA's but if you can isolate where its coming from that would help
