Rotor interchangeability
Hey guys I'm getting ready to assemble my 4port 13B when I noticed that the front rotor bearing is shot. It was actually a quarter of the ways coming off the rotor. My guess is I spun a bearing when I last had it running w/out knowing. Anyways heres my my question. I have a complete S4 rotating assembly from the front counter weight, stationary gears, rotors, e-shaft and flywheel. Can i just swap this whole assembly into my 4port? My 4port consist of 12A irons and 85 13B rotors and housings. I'm assuming the whole S4 rotating assembly needs to used if I decide to use the S4 rotors to keep the balance. Or I can just order a new bearing. What do you guys think?
Thanks, Ed

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
you can use the complete rotating assembly from the front pulley to the rear counterweight and you will be fine...
or you could replace the bearing , its up to you
do not mix-match rotors between years, thats a no-no

i'm no expert, but i'd say yes. i don't even think you need the s4 escentric shaft. as long as you have the counter weight and flywheel that match. another thing is to make sure the letters on the rotors are the same or within 1 letter. but if it came out of a good running engine.
