rotary samurai exaust ?

I have a 12a in my sammy with long primaries and had a raptor muff on it and blew it out I need to know what a good muffler would be to use the muffler cant go on the end of the exaust because of no room next to gas tank and I want to keep the noise as low as I can with out sacrificing power rb setup wont work

There are no mufflers out there that will quiet the exhaust down and mount in the middle. I would suggest a Magnaflow, but its a straight through design and very loud. Unless you used two magnaflows and two presilencer, I doubt you would have a quiet car (I also doubt that would fit under it).

what? they are loud if you get them center in / center out but if you get the ofset inlet it will muffler it. 2 magnaflow with offset inlets will muffler alot while still creating some power, 2 mufflers and 2 presilencer is over kill and wont create HP if you know

im getting a custom exhaust and header for mine with a straight through magnablow , ill let u know when its done maybe even get some pics up . I was told that the key to the rotory is no restriction but sound deadening for instance if your local muffler shop can take a 3 inch section of pipe and compress the ends down to 21/2 or 21/4 than its doesnt restrict airflow but when the air expands in the chamber and then squeezes back out the other end it has noise cancelation properties ... peace

Try the Edelbrock RPM muffler... I have one on my car, and I think it sounds great...

I am intrested in a muffler for my samurai also. But I dont' have a space problem. However I do need it quiet as possible. Was looking at the edelbrock RPM muffler as mentioned. I would love to hear some more comments and opinions concerning mufflers. Thanks

Sorry one other thing. I have a buddy that built me a header. And he did a killer job. But I wanted him to us 2" tubing and instead he used 2.5". Is this usable on a stock 12A no fan, emissions, or AC?

Its just plain hard to quiet a rotary.Even harder with headers and no catylist.
Ive tried the Edelbrock muffler,it didnt work any better than a Magnaflow.Even with a turbo and cat ahead of it,it was loud.If you want to try it out though,Ive still got it.Its all stainless so itll last forever.Cheap, let me know.

FWIW,Ive got a Chevy V-6 in my Samurai and I used to run the exhaust out right above the rear axle.It was pretty loud inside the cab with a 2 chamber Flowmaster.By extending the exhaust all the way to the back bumper,it cut a lot of the noise and resonance out.Unfortunately for you,a rotary has the exhaust on the pass. side so youll have more trouble getting all the way to the rear bumper with the brake and fuel filler hoses in the way.Maybe find a place to cross over to the drivers side, then run all the way back.

Yea
I had a 4.3 in the zuk and got a free rotary. Decided after lots of reshearch that the rotary meet more of my needs and was way cooler. And I don't have the filler hose or any of the stock stuff. If I could figure out how to post pics I would show you guys my almost finished install.
