Rotaflow / dump / lobstertail question...

Hey all,
This summer when I'm re-doing my exhaust, I would like to put a Rotaflow (Rotaflo?) style muffler on my car. Knowing that realistically, I won't be able to get said Rotaflow muffler, I've been looking into alternatives. Basically I was wondering if I use a header (whatever is readily available and priced right), some sort of pre-silencer hopefully RB, and a muffler like one of these:

Would the muffler hold up? Even if its fiberglass packed? And does anyone have any experience with these eBay "Dumpy"/Rotaflow style mufflers?

Thanks again for all the great help this forum offers

Don't use it as a muffler, but rather as a means of directing hot exhaust gasses away from your plastic bumper. I bought one, but I'm also using high quality mufflers from Borla to shut it up a little.

if u put a dump-pipe style muffler on the rear, which is straight thru the middle with no baffles, it WILL be louder, and that IS a good thing haha you'll also notice that the engine revs alot easier, more-so if you get the whole exhaust system replaced. On my series 3 i've got twin 1 7/8" headers to the rear axle, with one resonator in each, then joins to a single 2 1/2" over the axle to a dumpy-style muffler i got made up spiecally, sounds awesome and revs really well.
One thing i will say is DO NOT get a muffler packed with only fibre-glass, rotaries run so hot they burn and detroy fibre-glass, after a week or two your car will be ALOT louder, not good! and the rear bumper will be covered in fibre-glass.

Anything packed with fibreglass you can say goodbye to. Don't even bother unless it's SS packed.

Rotaflo is currently changing hands but once new owners take over I should be able to supply Rotaflo's again. That Ebay muffler might be ok on a turbo but on anything N/A would be loud as f*&k 9 (I had a straight through staino muffler behind my old bridgie and it was rawkus as)
By the way lostertail tips are hot

That ebay muffler is just a fart can with a dump tip shitily welded on, total crap. If you want that style, go Rotaflo. With a couple mufflers it would probably be okay but it'll still be somewhat loud

Has anyone posted a soundclip of a rotoaflow muffler yet? I know there was talk of it, but I don't think I ever saw them.
