roast me alive!

ok...I want it...all of your "constructive" critisism...lay it on me.

i have owned 3 and 1/2 RX-7s a second gen...an '83 GSL, a '79 GS(non running mostly parted out, bought for nice engine with 25,000kms) and my new project, an '83 "Targa7" now with my other 2 i put all of my effort into keeping them stock, but now i want to build a car that will scare me, and here is my plan:

I have removed everything from the "targa7" that is not required for it to move...ie. sound insulation, carpet, stereo, center console, interior door skins, rats nest, air pump...i think thats it.

next i am planning on removing as many of the exterior body panels i can, replacing them with glass fiber parts (possibly an entire widebody kit).

then all stock windows will be replaced with lexan

so far under the hood...i have removed the rats nest, installed custom headers, straight exaust with a race muffler (a little ricey but its all good), i have ported and polished the intake manifold.

next i am going to jet my carb, install a high volume low pressure fuel pump, cold air intake...ect

inside i want to have race seats(ricaro if my wallet can support it) a full digital display, with a LED tach.

what do you all think? is it worth it...any ideas?

oh ya, and for the paint...i want metalic bule, with 2 white race stripes going from boot to bonnet.

What are you doing with the block man? Your staying stock port with the nikki carb? Your gonna have to make some big changes to really get the result you want. Get yourself a nice streetported 12a or even a 13B block. Toss a weber on that sucker and you'll be making some serious power.

Call up Rob at RotaryShack and he can give you one hell of a deal on a kick *** weber setup. But from what your talking about with the widebody setup and all, you'd you'd probably want turbo. That will roast you alive. Rob can set you up with that too.

Turbo! But if that fails, you need to at least port out the engine to make some good power.
