Rip in Mesh on Oil Pickup tube

I'm swapping in my SP 12a and needed to swap the Oil pan and pickup tube from my other engine.

When I got it off, I noticed there is a small crack in the mesh for the pickup tube.

I thought I saw a thread were people we're somehow replacing the mesh? If anyone has a link to that, or knows a way for me to repair my oil pickup tube that would be great.

Or I may have to go to Pick'N'Pull, or just order one online.

Thanks

25$ for mazda factory oil pickup. I'd go that route.

I saw its 25 at Mazdatrix, but rather order from somewhere else if possible.

Would I get it from a dealership or what?

Thanks TT

I love mazdatrix. They have been the best place I've ever ordered from. Mazda dealer should have them also if you prefer them. Pick n pull would probably charge next to nothing I think. I just wouldn't want to do the work of putting new mesh on. The factory stuff is best here imo.

I'm just butthurt from the last time I ordered a part from Mazdatrix. It was less than 5 dollars for an OMP blockoff plate but I got charged 5 dollar shipping and a 6 dollar labor fee, making it cost 3 times as much.

Do they always charge a labor fee?

I'm sorry I missed the part where you said you could install new mesh on it. Are there any write-ups on doing that? The only thing wrong with my pickup tube is a tear in the mesh.

Damn. Your in cali already too. I don't think so for me anyways. I'd have to check my receipts. I personally havent heard of people swapping the mesh. I was just referring to your post. I'd post up a WTB ad in the west for sale. Someones gotta have one for hella cheap.
