Well thanks for all the help, guys.

I was a little foggy as far as the bump steer, pull steer thing goes. I can deal with a little muscle steering.

I think my decision will end up being my first choice anyway: Velox VX 8R.

oops... RotorMotorDriver, I realized I've seen your car quite a few times before.

Gunmetal will look sweet on your car.

heh... yeah. they have come cool ones...

I wnated the polished lip & I was impatient.. Some of them come with it, some don't... just depends who has what in stock where....

Common consensus is that Rota is a "better" wheel, but I dunno exactly based on what... mine are light.. strong enough that I haven't broken 'em yet....

Wheels are like jewlery... tons of tough choices.. Find one that fits what you like..

gunmetal w/ polished Circuit8's

gunmetal sub-zeros

for a black car, my #1 choice would be these... black/polished sub-zeros

they have a couple other cool styles too.... black, gunmetal, & steel gray... tough tough choices...

All of those are within about $10 of the same price as the VX8r, just to make it even tougher on ya...

I think I'd like to go with either the Rota Slipstreams, Sub-zero, or Circuit 8 in either black, gunmetal or steel grey. I can't really dig the whole polished lip thing on my car It'd look great on yours though.

All I need to do now is find out which is cheaper.

Otherwise, I'll get the Velox VX8R.

Tough call... I'll find out which is lighter as well.

The main problem I'm having is deciding between the all black look with my car (black rims), or black with accents (steel grey or gunmetal rims)

As I said, for deals on Rotas send a PM to Rishie (ARD T2, the vendor sponor for the wheel&tire section)

Th only reason I wanted the polished was I didn't really like having an *all dark* wheel.. It's kinda rough to see where the tire ends and the wheel starts.. Kinda end up looking like a batmobile.

Ever seen Batman's FD? He posts in the Lounge quite often and on one of my few visits there I saw his car. All black with black rims and dark tint. I'm kindof a black freak, so you know how it goes. But either way I want my car to look good, so I might go with some accents instead of my orginal plan for the "shadow" look.

yep.. I know what Batmans car looks like... never seen it in person though.

That's not so much my style, but it is a clean look... It's your car, so you're the one who gets to make it how you like.. I'd still go w/ the polished lip...

damn I'm hungover.

Well, it's settled.

I hadn't realized how nice the VX 8R actually looks until I looked at some big clean pics of it and showed it to my friend. Funny how I let a semi-ricy, original F&F fan, superstreet loving guy influence my decisions.

Aah well, he knows what looks good. The VX 8R only comes in gunmetal with polished lip, as their special edition thing I guess. The lowest I found those rims for was at rimstop.com.

Maybe now our posting back and forth will be over haha. It did occur to me earlier that we couldv'e just PMed, but that's no fun!

Wish me luck with my numerous ebay auctions that will be paying for these!

I just ordered some 16x7 Panasports, I will let you guys know what tire I am running and any issues that I might run into.

They will be here in 6 weeks, then about another week to powdercoat the centers.

tires? Yokohama AVS ES100s... you can get 'em from tirerack or discount tire or any of the big ones...

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...ypeCode=YOKHZM

Powercoating is good too... you can make the wheels about any color you want if you can't find what you like.. I know a coupel places here that charge $30-35/wheel and it takes about a week tops.

Hmmm...

I'm poor. Maybe I should look at some cheaper ones haha.

Right now I have Firestone Firebird's or something on the back. I like those Yokohama's though...
