Question RESTOGRIP body filler - what do you think?

Does this sound like a good product? Better than BONDO?

http://www.por-15.com/puttys.html

RestoGRIP™ Body Filler is specifically designed for applications that require more strength, such as bridging holes, or filling high-stress areas. RestoGRIP™ Body Filler is loaded with tiny polyester fibers, which makes it many times stronger than ordinary body fillers. Use RestoGRIP™ with POR-15®, to make permanent repairs to rust holes or deep pits in steel or galvanized steel. Then, use STRAIGHTLINE™ BODY FILLER to finish off the repair for the ultimate smooth final finish.

Now you've got the superior body fillers you always wanted, engineered for use with POR-15®. Try them for yourself!

After you've worked so hard on your car, does it make any sense to use an inferior body filler that costs a few bucks less? Both STRAIGHTLINE™ and RestoGRIP™ are supplied in special tins which house the body filler in the bottom and the re-sealable hardener in an insert tray on top....no separate tubes to lose.

In my opinion if you need that much filler you should knock the dent out a bit further or cut the metal back and weld in new. Filler is just the fine tuning of the panel

My $0:02 ... but yes that does sound stronger than the standard stuff ... almost sounds like premixed fibreglass

yes, I'm buying a slide hammer dent puller to knock out the rocker panel dents and i'll get behind other panels with a rubber mallet and block of wood to knock it out as far as possible.

filler is just the icing on the cake. this stuff does look like strong stuff.... might try it.

naw i dont' even think i'd ever use bondo or anything after what i saw. every sat night in lincoln, ne. old guys to young guys bring out there street rods. we have stuff there like a supra with 576 hp and a chevelle that runs 8's. then you have the ricers that show up with decked out everythings. you name a car, it's there. i'm the only 1st gen GSL-SE though . theres a few 3rd gens. we all gather at Sonics (it's a drive in fast food joint) well we got permission for the cops to use the road right infront of the store as our own personal racing strip. it owner of Wocker Tires in town who has a Dogde Viper as a daily driver, orginizes it all. we have anything from AutoX'ing to drag, and drifting.
well anywho on with the story. the sadest thing i ever saw. this guy got this new car, he thinks it's the greatest thing in the world. it's a '00 Saline Mustang(sry if i mis-spelled that, not a ford fan). it had a stage 2 super chager on it and a couple other things he paid for. it looked realy nice and sounded even better. i donno how much he paid or put into it but it was a lot. well he pulls up and is gona race that 576 hp supra in a drag. i'm thinkin it's gona be a good race. well he gets out before the race and runs a check over his car. the supra driver says somethign and it pisses off Corver(the mustang driver) he gets in and slams his door shut. well all the sudden you see a chunk of his door fall off. i walk over b4 they start and tell him. he gets out and there is this huge dent in his door and a chunk of bondo on the ground.

i hate bondo and products like it.

o incase you are wondering how we got te cops to let us do this? well, you won't believe it but the supra driver is a county sherif. his name is Mr. Young. he's huge, can bench 435 lbs. whats worse is i'm dating his daughter. he won't tell me his first name and he scares the **** outa me. but i asked him to get this going for us and he did. so form 8pm - 2amon sat, the 15 block stretch of 27th st is closed. the only trouble now is the stupid ppl smoking pot and drinking. Mr. Young writes tickets like crazy there. i don't mind ppl doin that stuff but some ppl are jsut stupid when they choose to do it.

Filler/bondo is good stuff ... it just doesn't work miracles .... like I said above filler should be used to fill the slight imperfections after the repair (un like the bloke with Mustang)
