ReSpeed brake upgrade - master cylinder upgrade?
Basically wondering if ther would be a need/ if there are any options to upgrade to mastercylinder and or the brake booster. Possibly an adjustable prop. valve.
Any suggestions or current setups appreciated.
I've tracked down the rest of my parts and want to make sure I'm not overlooking an important detail.
Wait car also has mustang rear drums if that helps with a suggestion. I want to make sure it's right 130+mph is alot to slow down.
Thanks,
Mac

im not sure if you need to. There is a guy on here with a 2nd gen booster in his 1st gen. thats what im gonna try to do he said all he needed was a spacer for behind the master cylinder. you would need to make new or bend the brake hardlines to get them to fit on the master cylinder and proportioning valve.

You might consider changing to an adjustable proportioning valve, particularly if you're racing. Why else would you be doing 130 mph, but since you're north of the border, that's what near 65 mph. lol
As far as upgrading the master and booster, most don't, they find it really isn't needed.

I had an extra FD master laying around and I put that in. I'm probably going to have to make some adjustments once I get the car rolling though considering that the fork is longer.
I was worried the FB master wouldn't be able to apply much clamping force to the big TII calipers.

Oh i can assure you i meant 130+ MPH !
Anywho i just got an email back from ReSpeed (they have OMG great customer service) Bill suggests that most customers fiund the stock one meets there needs. The reason I'm mainly intrested is that I will be re-doing all my brake lines anyway and I would like to do any changes to equipment first.
The prop valve is built into the master correct? How would I use an adjustable in this car? The only car i ever did much with brake changes was a civic that has a prop valve after the MC. Or does the rx-7 have a prop valve i'm not seeing?
