Replacing Rubber Trims on 85 (SE if it matters)

I want to replace most of the rubber on the exterior of the car. The front window sealer, both door seals(along top of door), and the door guards that go completely around the car from bumper to bumper. Any suggestions on how to get this done.

For example, you think one of those winshield replacement shops would replace the front window seal for cheaper than a body shop? Who would do the door sealers? Any advice where to get the door guards that go around the car for cheap? What is an appropriate adhesive for these guards. Anyone got any pictures of the guards removed?

Been there, done that.

There are a set of door guards available on e-bay. If you don't catch those, absolutly go new from your dealer begging for jobber discount (usually about 15%)

Kinda confused about your wanting to replace the body side moldings. If they're just coming off, don't sweat it. Body shops remove them before painting and then just remount them with about 1/2 inch wide double stick tape. Available from any body parts store for not alot of $.

Trick to remounting is to run a strip of masking tape the entire length of the car for reference and a straight install.

As to front window trip, I'd go the glass shop instead of a body shop. Most body shops sub out that work to auto glass shops anyway. Cut out the middle man.

Good luck!!
