removing AC removes what?

if i were to remove the A/C on my car, would it also remove functions such as defroster, or demister things. will i still be able to blow air or not? heat?

If you remove the AC compressor, belt, condensor and piping...you will still be able to use the heat and blower. The heat is run off a separate circuit and uses the coolant piping and a heater core to function.

yeah take all that **** outta there. you can also remove the a/c coils under the dash that sits between the blower and the heater section. It's worth removing this part... as it gets rid of weight, frees up space under the dash, and it removes a restriction which allows for more air flow from the heater & defroster. The only downside is you have to fab up a connector in place of where the a/c coils were.

to remove the evaporator (part under dash) just take that box out, open it (clips hold two halves together) remove the evaporator core and put the box back together, a few small holes will need to be plugged, then just put that back in place.

yup working on that same thing right now, but more for the weight reduction than anything.

When you remove the AC box that has the evaporator core, you need to find the tube that was on non-AC cars.
