Removed Rats nest Pictures!

Heres a few pictures of before and after i removed my rats nest! Im still working on getting the wiring to look clean how i like it enjoy! I hope this inspires others to do the tutorial, i recommend it 100% if you don't have to pass emissions. If you have to pass emissions dont even think about it!

ok just went outside and took a look at it... It looks 50x worse in the picture than it actually is... i used a trouble light (as you can see in the second picture) for extra lighting and it must of screwed up the color when it loaded on the digital camera or something.

You're supposed to take out your fan when you take out the rats nest too? How do you cool your car, then? Besides the collant?

Does that CLR stuff really work good? Does it damage paint or anything? Can I just pour that **** straight in my radiator? Seriously, can I? I have currently used 3 jugs of the prestone radiator cleaner stuff (for neglected systems) and I really dont want a new one. Mine was rebuilt 5 years ago and sat in a field for 4 of those years. Nice looking car and I wish my paint looked that good.

he may be converting to an electric, or just hasn't placed it in yet since he's waiting for his rb exhaust according to his sig.

IMO you need to cut the sides off your breather can by cutting outside the gasket circle on the bottom. Then get the top lid and expose your new K&N. Not only does it look cleaner, but it allows better air flow and you can then hear your carb suck air.

why would you have to take the fan off?
couldnt he just use a double alternator pulley. as long as his fan clutch is workng he shouldn't need to remove it. or am i missing something here?

Dan

The theory, Turbo, is that you're so ******* fast that you get to the ram air zone of 40 mph and above so fast that the radiator is cooled that way. If you get caught in stop and go traffic, just turn it off every time you have to stop. Keeping a really good battery is key.

Ahhhh so many questions where to start:
Well im still in the process of getting the car to run right, im having some ignition problems... but thats another thread =)
I used clr on a toothbrush to clean off alot of stuck on grease and crap it worked well if you have the patience... mostly i was using it on the top of engine where the rats nest was (along with a dremmel) to clear off some of the old uneye catching crap. Takes awhile and scrapes your hands up real good but in my opinion looks way better
For my air intake i was thinking of ordering a racing beat intake when i get some more money will this still have the same sucking sound your talking about?
Brandon Davis the belt i used is a 3L220, I found it at a local lawnmower shop (haha awesome huh) and this belt is tested and true to not be to tight... I dont know what happened with you but make sure to use the 3L220 belt. Did you get it all fixed?

Thanks for your replys
