Refresh my memory on testing/cleaning the ignitors...
I've seen alot of posts on this and have a couple of ignition related problems that seem to point here.
Can I get a run down step by step on how to test the ignitors, what and how to clean them?
I have a multimeter, some dielectric grease, and two spare ignitors. Plus a timing light that I can't get an accurate reading with . The wires/caps/button/plugs are all fairly new, but I think the ignitors are due for an overhaul by now @196k.
Thanks
Joe

I read your email
Jeff20b has a fun way to test ignitors but ya might wanna look at the factory or Haynes manual for the official method. As far as cleaning goes, pull it off and use a little Simple Green on 'em. When reinstalling use heat sink compound on the back of the ignitor. The heat sink compound will help pull the heat away from the ignitor. You can pick this up at Radio Shack.
