well I've had 3 sevens and have worked on a damn lot of them. None of mine have ever had them. Though honestly all mine have been 83's. Is there anyone with an 83 that has one. Another thing my best friend had a 79 his didn't have one. Maybe it was something mazda was hit or miss with in the early years. Plus you are in a different ******* country your cars didn't even come with the same lug pattern as ours. And are you going to tell me now that the rear seat was available in the US because they're every where in Auzzy land? Gawd Damn I hate you kids. And argentina boy you've got no room to talk either I was refering to US spec cars. Oh, and hows your economy doing down there, lol?

I have an 84 that has it and my friend has owned an 82 and an 83 and they both had the buzzer. From my understanding, I am pretty damn sure all 1st gens had them. It is just a matter if yours works or not.

ALL first gen RX-7's had Buzzers in ALL markets. My '85 GSL has one that works and it's loud as heck. My buddy had an '88 Turbo II and it had a buzzer as well. The 84 GT Turbo I had when I lived in Japan had a buzzer as well.

I just got an 85 SE. The first time I hit the buzzer it made me jump, then I quickly remembered reading about it here and knew it was normal. I'm not sure if I like it or not, but it makes me feel like I'm on a game show. Big money no whammies...
