Diferent lug bolt pattern, GSL 4 X 110, GSL-SE 4 X 114.3, your stock rims wont fit.

are you talking about the diff or whole rear axle?
se gears like 4.09, gsl gears 3.90. if its the diff you are swaping one from an 84 or 85 it should work fine. whats wrong with the se rear?

I have been beating it a little( alot) and the rear does not feel as strong as it was and now when I do a burn out one wheel spins faster then the other. also when I shift hard the rear bangs hard!

I have slotted and dri cut rotors so I was planning on swaping them to the GSL rear but I did not know if the gears were the same. My GSLSE has a turbo2 trans and a brons clutch (dont think I spelled that right)

you can replace the clutch disc in the lsd, just make sure the gears are not beat up. the bang could be u joints on the driveshaft.

Your SE brakes will not fit on a GSL rear, but the diff center will fit, you change the rear ration from 4.1 to 3.9 approximately though. It sounds like your clutches have worn out, just replace them.

Gah...it's a post full of misinformation. You can interchange the whole assemblies, but you will need new wheels and a new driveshaft. The driveshaft thing only needs to be done if the GSL rear is from a RX-7 PRIOR to 1983.

And for the love of god, you can't just change the center section of a diff. The damn gears between the ring and pinion won't mesh correctly, and ring and pinions are a matched set. (I'm assuming you mean just the carrier assembly.) Depending on how much he drives, it won't take long to eat that one up.

Also, I believe the axles themselves are different from 1983 and up.
