Rear brake line removal
Anyone have any advice on how to get the rubber brake hose off on the rear disc brakes of a gsl-se? I got the fronts off with a flare nut wrench. In the rear I can get my wrench around the metal line's nut but then have no clearance to move it at all. Any advice on what other tools or techniques work would be appreciated. Thank you.

Having recently done my rear brakes, remove the caliper, than there's plenty of room to get your wrench on it...17mm I believe. use lots of WD-40 on them, cause they're a pain.

Well, I removed the brakehoses from my rex about a month ago and it was a real pain ![Frown](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
If I understood you right, the nut which attaches the hose to the caliper isn´t the problem, it´s the metal brakeline-connection as Wackyracer stated above!?
Between the metal brakeline and the brakehose you´ll find a washer-type-thing (don´t even know what it´s called in Swedish, but you can se what it looks like belowe) that seems to function as some sort of distancer and holds the lineconnection in place. If you use a hammer and maybe a screwdriver you can gently knock it upwards until it comes loose! As mentioned before, lots of WD-40 helps
Hope this helps!!

Today I am going to try getting them off again. One trick I use for the side where the hose meets with the caliper is cut the hose as close as possible to that side and then you can just use a deep socket on it and it comes of very easily. I'll let you all know if I have success. I also can' t wait to see how hard the one underneath the back of the car is as well
Thanks for all the advice from everyone.
