from respeed billy your great ok props to ya . any way the problem im having is
finding wheels that will work with the 4 1/2 inch stock back space and 24.5mm offset. all wheel companys have 5 4 1/2 wheels but the dont have 24.5 mmm offset required on 15 by 7 inch wheels i dont want to put spacers on the wheel and i dont like the 40mm offset or front wheel drive offset. i have dun about 3 days of callling companys to see about this. with no availe . no one has the back space or offset. or am i not looking in the right area?

you need to call billy. he found a set of some sort of mesh wheels that come off of a toyota that are 15x7 and would work perfectly for the kit. they were like $300 new on ebay. look into it.

Yea I was in your shoes about a month ago. I ended up getting 5zigen 17x7 with a +35 offset. Then I had 5/8 thick billet spacers machined. But of course I had to buy longer wheel studs via summit, and have those pressed in. So the extra cost of those two items was nearly 200 dollars.
You have to get creative when playing this game with the fb. I am thinking I wont even have to roll the fenders. the wheels are nice and tight tucked in. I have been driving it this way for about a week. No rubbing yet. cross my fingers.

Ok, first you should have searched as I've done the research and posted it up more than a few times for other people. But anyway here goes again.
The stock wheel which is is 5.5" wide is 25mm offset. To fit a 7" wheel in the same space, you need to space it out about another 1/2" to get it to clear the strut properly. This means that to fit a 7" wide wheel on a 1st gen you need about a 13mm offset, not 24.5 or whatever you thought. Changing to the respeed kit doesn't change the requred offset to fit that wheel. I'm not going into all the details, but to fit a 40mm offset wheel (like 2nd gen BBS vert wheels), you need a 1" spacer, which is 24.5mm I think is the conversion. Trust me on this, I've gone over it many times to figure it out right and this is the proper measurement. BTW, the widest tire you can fit on the front is a 215, and thats only with a perfect offset. 205 will give you a little more margine for error.

My offsets are a +35mm, and I am running a .625 inch spacer. which equates to 15.5. So my total offset is 19.5 I thought I would throw that out there. This setup is on my car right now works perfectly, I haven't even rolled my fenders yet. Are you running 17's on your car right now? What offset are you using, coilovers, stock coils, ?
I could probably get away with a 1/2 spacer if I wanted to, still have a good gap between the rubber and coil overs. I am curious how you can up with your numbers, real application, or figuring it out on a piece of paper? Please let me know. I know a lot of folks have probably run into the same problems.

Is your car a GSL-SE? They had a different offset from the rest of the 1st gens.
I'm running 16x7's with 38mm offset on the front with 205/45 tires and the respeed race coilover kit and camber plates, with 1" spacer adapters. I'm running 1* of negative camber right now and as far as I can tell, a 225 won't remotely fit on the front without rubbing. I'm not saying you can't fit it, but I highly doubt it. If you do run it, then I would love to know how.

No, unfortunately they are just regular 12A big spindles. One thing I noticed is your running 16's and I am running 17's, so that would give me a little more space, because the strut tube grows away from the wheel as it goes up to the fender. Smaller wheel, bead gets closer to the strut tube.. Also camber shouldn't affect the off set gap just possibly the fender to tire gap.
I am going to order some 17x8 5 zingens in a week or so. I will be running 235/40/17 on those; they are for the rears. I will throw them on the front for a lark, and see what happens. I think the answer is partly related to wheel size. What is your gap with the one inch spacers.? I am assuming the respeed coil overs use the standard 2.5 id springs.

i believe the 225's will fit but may need to roll fenders. i have 15x7 32?mm offset with a 1" spacer. ive seen pics of some 225/45/15 and they look real flush to the rim, meaning no sidewall bulge. i plan to run these hankook size in the summer if i can get enough money..
the only real problem i've had with the big brake kit is the caliper will hit the rb sway bar on full lock steering. tire clearance should be fine.
