rats nest removal?

why would i not want to remov the rats nest if i get better milage and power?

Several reasons, less problems, worn out rubber leads to vacuum leaks, simpler, looks cleaner and easier to work on.

Legal issues due to emmissions requirements.

I dont necessarily agree that you get better mileage as you lose several gas savers when they work, ie: shutter valve.

I removed mine and it seemed to run smoother, but the main thing was it made it 400X easier to work on and it looked alot cleaner.

any more backfire or anything? If emistions dont matter here, would u recomend me doing it?
