i think theres enough gold to pay for my rebuild
still havin trouble with the eshaft bolt iv locked the flywheel really good heated the bolt for 5 mins or so takin to it with my 1/2" air gun,compressor cranked up to 140psi with the shortest hose i got still aint budgining the engines in mid air so ill put it on the floor and give it another go..

the stat gear is sweet but the bearing is totally gone..
guess its time to get out the spare motor and see how the compression on that is
i will do a rebuild someday but if i can get around it with another motor i will
future plans involve my streetport motor and a dremal

That's the color they should be Chris. No worrys there. Overheated ones are darker than your's.
While you have the oil pan off, mod the rear oil pressure regulator. There is a thread in the archives on how to do it. It also wouldn't hurt to pull the ropr and the front bypass regulator off to clean and check them. Along with pulling the front cover to check the tension on the oil pump chain and upgrading to the 17.5 mm oil pump if you want to lay out a little extra cash.
