TX Ran the Seafoam on the SE!

I went ahead and ran SeaFoam in the SE! The car runs much, MUCH better than before! I love it, dammit!

How did you apply it? There are multiple methods out there.

I ran it through the gas tank, and brake booster vacuum hose. I waited and thought about whether i should run it in the oil due to the contact with rubber the oil makes. 2 days later I went ahead and ran less than 1/4 bottle, and it made the biggest difference! My car now runs much smoother, after I had thought the car couldnt run any faster!

My poor old bedraggled SE is running stronger and much smoother just by premixing MMO or 2-cycle (6-8 oz.) every fillup. When I saved that SE from the crusher it ran roughly, which I attributed to the 13B engine and porting, but now it runs as smooth as my good ol' 12A. I think the clean lube with detergent works just as good as Seafoam, over time, and is less radical so it's less dangerous. IIRC, some guys have reported engine failure after a radical de-carbonizing.

But it takes patience and persistence. I think it took about 20,000 miles to get to this point, so I had to use the SE as a DD, but the good part of that is that I de-dinged and repainted the exterior and replaced the sun-faded interior pieces and seats so now it's a pretty good car.

I ran some sea foam through my SE's gas tank - didn't seem to help much, but the car hasn't been driven much since then... I'm sure it will take time. I plan on running it in the oil and through the vac lines as well once I replace all the gaskets and hoses, etc..

I know its a good product, i just havent put it through its paces w/ the SE yet...

Okay, so we've proved for the millionth time that Seafoam is a good product.

Maybe the forum should buy some stock in it. We could get a statement on the label like:

RX7Club.com Approves of this product

Next, we could work on Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer....

I find honestly that just driving rotaries really hard is the best medicine for them... (turbo cars excluded LOL, they just blow up all the time anyways)

I agree! ****, if WE can find more people interested in our FBs, maybe we can have new parts fabricated. but, seems very unlikely, due to not many people into FBs! Very good product though. I feel bad when i hear bad results! but it better to use less and risk less than put too much and be fucked! remember that!
