Rainbow Dash Brony Lovefest Megathread

Ok, I'll snap some pictures and post up tonight.
Wow Pele, I'm impressed. Any plans starting season 2? Epsiodes one and two are already out. Ep three will be next Saturday with #4 the following Saturday.
Karack, probably a 7" supercharger at this point. I doubt a redneck would even faint.

God dammit... Damn Lauren Faust for creating such likable characters and damn the animation team for making it entertaining.
So I got called in for overtime at work tomorrow. Nothing goes on on weekends, but the MLK memorial dedication is tomorrow, so they want me in just in case something goes wrong. I figured I'd catch the new episode then.
Today, I'm doing **** around the house. My wife's car has a small crack in the windshield and the instructions say to allow the resin to cure for at least 20 mins.
What can I do for 20 mins?
Change the oil? Nah... Did that last week.
Sit in the car and listen to four songs on the radio? Nah... I'd get bored.

My agenda for today involves some automotive work, some household demolition and construction, and maybe beer with the guys. My Little Pony just seems a bit out of place.

wow! i'm speechless. not so much about Jeff being involved in a somewhat quirky/oddball build project, that is typical Jeff. i'm surprised moreso at him using the "it's my sister's project"-excuse. that seems a bit unlike him. heartbreak, i tell you. heartbreak.
now it is my duty to send you random boxes of Alpo and glue to reestablish balance.

Ray, you need to watch today's episode. Rainbow Dash gets up from a park bench and leaves rainbow colored... farts? Watch and you be the judge.
Pele, today's episode was so good those guys of yours would probably thank you for showing them something "so awesome". /)^3^(\
It's been a long day. I really should be hitting the hay but I promised I'd post up some pictures. So pardon the commentary, if it's a little vague or lacking in detail.
Pinkie Pie helped set end play. I hope it's right. .0025"
Old school RB aluminum flywheel. 215mm only friction surface. It's worn down to the screws. I think Stilettoman had one of these in his GLC. He had it resurfaced so many times it got down to the screws too. I won't resurface this one. If it shudders, I'll know why.
The centerforce pressure plate. Orange was a nice touch (eh, Ray?). Too bad it was too heavy for a daily driver.
So I went with a stock aftermarket read: cheap alternative. It'll tide me over until it needs to be changed. I had to throw this on while on the engine crane, and the light was fading. Sorry no paint job. But I got it in the car at dusk. Or wait, I meant twilight. See what I did there? A brony would get it.
Valeo = crap. Just look at that worn spring finger. It's not just a trick of light and shadow. The others aren't as bad. Maybe it's bent?
At least a new throw out bearing went in. It will either give this Valeo thing a good sporting chance, or wear it out really fast. The pedal feels decent though.

Looking good Jeff.
But I'm thinking those silver housings are looking a little un-pony like.
I know it's too late to paint them back to the color you used to have them (that was nice) but maybe you could stencil a bunch of pink and bright green polka dots on them?
That would make the motor.
Turns out the kiddie channels are blocked at my house, could you post a utube of those Rainbow Farts?
Here's all I could fine:

Wow Ray, you're quite um you're quite a character. You're enjoying yourself a little more than I am. I think you have a rainbow colored 12A in your future. We all know you've got enough 1st gens at your place. One should be the designated Pony Car. In the immortal words of the godfather from old Godfather's Pizza commercials, "Do It".
Mmm, you're hungry for updates so here's one. I got a Racing Beat road race header. It'll go in as soon as I can mod the 12A mount bar to fit a 13B. I also have access to an RB powerpulse muffler but I gotta chop it out of another exhaust system today. Yes, chop as in cut, since it's welded. Fun! I'll add a flange so it will bolt in like it's supposed to. It also needs tail pipes.
Ray, which tips do you prefer on powerpulse mufflers? Slant cut or straight?

I am inspired Jeff. If one of my 12A's every dies and I need to do a rebuild I am definitely going to a rainbow rotary, probably in my white GS (soon to be GSL). I've already got some cool ideas for a really nice rainbow pony tail emanating from the hatch area.
It has got to be the straight tips for me, they offer a sturdiness and touch of class you just don't see in the older slant tips

it's funny, i tend to go the other way on this (appropriate phrasing in this thread, don't you think? ). until i got my RB system a few years ago, i didn't even realize that they had changed the design (and name) on their mufflers. my brother has the older slant cut tips and i think they fit our cars better than the newer straight ones.

I need a new user title
Yeah, I kinda prefer slant-cut tips, too. Straight-cut is fine if they're nicely polished like RB's are, but I think slant-cut fits the look of the car better.
