radiator/oil cooler screens?
something along the lines of these
http://www.racingbeat.com/Mazda-Perf...r=screen%20set
i have them for my 8 and they're one of the smartest things i've done for that car. especially driving the truck route from dallas to lubbock a lot.
anywho, i did a quick search and found nothing. i'm wondering if any of you guys have made protection screens.
i'm going to be making some in the near future, but i'm just looking for ideas first.

Here's what I had made up for my SA to protect from Alaska road projectiles for refurbed rad and oil cooler.
Its a ballistic-type nylon so so far stops stones and other hard bits as well as bugs. 3 yrs old and no probs.
Held in behind grille, with upper velcro'd to inside bottom lip of bumper, bottom attached to spoiler hardware.

Don't know what your car's performance level is, but you're in a hot location judging by your sig. Airflow through the screen will be important. A fine mesh will block a lot of air . . . maybe too much. The racing guys (like Pratt & Miller and NASCAR teams) have the same concerns, and they usually select a welded mesh that has a high % open area so it doesn't restrict the air flow as much. I bought some mesh from McNichols, and it seems like very high quality stuff -- google it.
