Need to replace supension and looking for some aftermarket stuff. Just wanted to know if anyone knew if the racingbeat package they have for $453.60 is any good. It includes springs front and rear and sway bars front and rear. Or if anyone would suggest another package. i m looking into koni shocks if i can get them for my '79. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't go wrong with the Racing Beat set-up. For your '79, there's a great deal on Koni struts at http://www.classicgarage.com/86-2052.html. I bought 'em, for that price, you pretty much have to.

Good luck with the '79. It's always good to see some SA drivers on the board.

My Rex has been sitting in a driveway for the last four years (before it was given to me last year)... I'm not entirely sure yet, but I think it'll probably need suspension work once I get it running... How much do you think will really need replacing?

Those Koni's are a good deal - I bought a set from that same site 3 years ago and they were fine. Keep in mine they are OEM replacements and are not the Koni "Sport" strut inserts. But for the money, you can't go wrong. And yes, they have had these on the shelf for many a year - if you buy them, check them over carefully (potential for dry, cracked seals when they are that old) - make sure there are no flat/soft spots through the piston travel
