Rollin' coal and 53mpg!
My deepest regards and condolences, Manntis.
You're such a pillar to the First Gen Community, it hurts us all when something like this happens.

R.I.P. Pamela
*Sniff*
We all love our 1st Gens and we go to such extremes to keep them beautiful. D’arcy, I for one, envied you for owning such a perfect example of a SE. Pamela truly was beautiful. She can never be replaced and it breaks my heart. I do feel your pain.
I’ve driven the BC mountain roads many times and I know they can be dangerous. THANK GOD you were not seriously injured! So many clients of mine who have traveled those mountain roads have not been as fortunate.
I think I can speak for the entire forum here…
We all loved Pam.
Take Care,
Stacey

Yo,
Damn man...that's a shame. I'm glad Manntis and his lats are okay! *grin*
At least Pamela went out in the appropriate place: the twisty mountain road. Where RX-7's are made to run. Instead of being t-boned by some idiot, or rear-ended by some SUV.

Damn.
First Tommy Lee beats the hell out of the real Pam.....
.....and now a mountain beats the hell out of the Rx7 Pam.
When will it all end?!??!?!
Too bad the car isn't repairable. I imagine that Miata suspension swap would be easier, with the car upside down....

Goddamn man, that sucks. I just got my 7 back on the road and you just lost pam. I dont know what I'd do if I ever lost my 7, so I can only imagine how you feel.
But your still in one piece and thats the important part. Hopefully you'll get another 7 soon, one as good as pam or better.
Have a fast recovery man.

Anytime baby!
Dang! DANG!
Definitely, mint condition SE's are rare but replaceable....it's hard to find another mint condition Manntis.
I'm glad you're cool. When you get that new mint SE, let me know if you need those hatch supports again. Despite all the bs I went through to get em, I'll do it all again because I know you are an enthusiast at heart. Don't let the accident change that.
RIP Pamela, but right on Manntis!

My boy's gonna wear a black ribbon on his antenna, in memory of Pam - he doesn't dare aspire to be as beautiful as she, but we feel your pain non the less.
Best wishes, glad to hear you're ok.

When manntis is back and ready, he should find a grungy old SE and do the 'ol Phoenix restoration treatment to it.
Restoring a SE in the condition of old Pam would give you renew'd interest I bet. Everyone one appreicates a good MINT SE on this furum I think.

I think that we should all vote Pamela in as the Featured car, to honour her, and Manntis' loss. I'm really sorry she had to go that way buddy, We all mourn for ya.

There's the thread, now EVERYBODY get in there and show our support. Let's not only get a 1st gen in there, let's get PAM in there.
My Sentiments go out to you Manntis. Keep your spirits up man.

When I saw the title, I was angry thinking someone else had the gall to coin the Pamela moniker for themselves. "Surely not Manntis' Pamela!!"
Having gone through similar incidents in the past that resulted in the complete destruction of the car that I somehow lived through (And no, I'm not talking about the '80 from last year though that was totaled also due to a stupid old man...), I can feel how glum and raped Manntis must feel right now. To hear "You're lucky to be alive!" is just not enough for some reason when you pour a part of your heart, soul and passion into these cars.
Manntis, I still will say Thank God you lived and didn't lose any body parts. It will take a little work, but mentally, it's always possible to construct a positive spin on any bad incident as long as your physical and mental self got through the process in one piece.
As for Pamela, I had to cry...I know exactly how you feel and I'm still trying to get a rex put together that was a sharp and tight as the '80...I still don't feel like myself a year and a month later after the accident. My heart pours out for you. I like the advice given previously and will pick up a little sumthingsumthing from the site tomorrow.

Shaat! I know what it's like to crash a car you like, but not a mint GSL-SE you love. Sorry to hear this happened, but glad you're ok yourself Manntis.
I guess, think of the possibilities that lie ahead!
