I definitely consider it dropped. Toughguy, thank you for taking back the comment, that was very respectful of you. I, too, am sorry. I shouldn't have told you to "back the **** off". I spoke more out of frustration and writer's block than from my head. I look forward to your participation in the forum, and I hope that things go better from here. I'll keep in mind your choices, and I encourage you to spend some more time here.. learn more about the rotary engine, so that you can talk to us sometimes-thick-headed rotorites about things. I'd like to pick up some more info about boingers, and may check the other forum out if I get some time.

So our friend got some great info, we're both on good terms, to everyone else I say: let's let this one fall off the main page.

My two cents worth are that you should listen and follow everything that vipernicus42 has said in his post. I just put mine back on the road after three and a half years and had to do every single thing that vipernicus42 stated in hist post. The only difference was that when it came to turning the engine, mine would not turn for about two weeks. I let it sit and eventually I said what the %%#$ and cranked her with a johnson bar attached to the fly wheel. She runs fine now but it does take a good amount of time and patience to get it going again. The rebuild of the carb is extremely important as well and if you decide to do it yourself, be ready to spend a good amount of time playing with it afterwards. Oh yeah, be very careful with the floats when rebuilding the carb.

Good luck with it.

Yeah... I wanted to avoid the Johnson bar thing.... so I was very liberal with the bottle of ATF... I was also very careful that the ATF didn't get left in the engine or pushed out into the exhaust manifold, but I basically used most of a bottle of ATF... in the end, it was less red and more black, and it all ended up on my driveway again after dribbling out the bottom spark plug holes, exactly the way I had planned
