Questions on doing t2 conversion in 79-80
Hey all, I have a question on wiring up a stock T2 ECU and Crank angle sensor to a 79-80 model rx7. I have came up on a deal I cant refuse. I have t2 engines sitting and now I may buy a good condition 1st gen for 150 bucks! I have an 87N332 ECU and wiring harness, just need to know what process to make it done easy and painless! This is going to be a shop car to run around in, that way my t2 and other 1g's wont get beat up driven em everyday! My t2 is hurt right now and I don't want it to happen again!

Wire harness: 87' - 88' Only
To use the stock ECU if you choose this route you'll need a complete engine harness, & if you can, Get the dash harness this will save lots of $$ in buying wire, It will have all the plugs you need, You'll never find all the colors anyway & it will save your hours in the long run. Below is a crude diagram
of the biggest plug to the ECU showing the colors of each wire, Below that a discription of the related pin.
Look at the plug as it were pluged in the ECU.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
| B/Y | BR/Y| BR/R| W | L/B | L/R | B/R | B/L | G/B | L/O | BR/Y| Y/B |
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
| L/Y | G/Y | R | LG | L | G | Y/L | O | BR | L/W | Y | Y/R |
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Upper bank from left to right
B/Y - Hazard Heat swith
BR/Y - Trailing coil ignitor
BR/R - Port air solinoid valve
W - 1st Crank sensor,These 4 wires are (Big Gray wire sheilded) and grounded
L/B - Service light
L/R - Coil trailing
B/R - Shift light
B/L - Split air solinoid valve
G/B - Nutral switch
L/O - Fan relay
BR/Y - Air bypass
Y/B - Check conector
Lower bank
L/Y - Coil ignitor trailing
G/Y - Coil ignitor leading
R - 2nd Crank sensor
LG - Knock controll
L - 3rd Crank sensor
G - 4th Crank sensor
Y/L - Clutch switch
O - Check conector
BR - Water temp
L/W - Air con main relay
Y - Check conector
Y/R - Check conector
NOTE: Colors will change throughout a year but pin location remain constant.
