Used this thread as a guide to installing my aluminum flywheel. I thought it was a fidanza unit, but it turns out that it came from mazdatrix. You guys saved me a ton of pain and heart ache! I went ahead and ordered the full bolt kit from MT, and it went together great. Wish I had done it a year ago.

Aluminum spacers and "long bolts" are only required if you have a 225mm setup going into a light steel flywheel. If 215mm, just use stock pressure plate bolts. RB uses the same thread pitch as stock (8mm x 1.00) making it easy for us. But the length can be confusing if you don't already know what the differences are..
Not all aftermarket flywheel has 8x1.00 threadpitch. My old racing beat aluminum has 5/16 thread as well as my newly acquired lightened steel, both are 215mm. My other lightened steel is 1.00.

Yes but the RB light steel flywheels I've installed, both 215mm and 225mm have all had 1.00 thread pitch, which was what I was refering to in my post above.
Lightened steel you say? Did you have an RB light steel flywheel lightened at machine shop? How much did they take off? How light is it now?
