Well changed my fuel filter today...dirty as hell and change the oil. DAMN after I changed the fuel filter! The fuel responce was A MAJOR improvement...it made me all giddy inside! So....here is where the update comes in..came home today and asked my Dad if for Xmas he could get me a blown S5TII Motor and told him that I would go with my uncle and would pull it out of the junk yard and everything...and he said yes! Talk about KICK ***! Also another kick *** thing was while I was changing the fuel filter I saw aftermarket springs, called my brother and asked if he had changed them when he had the car and he said yes!

So today I have saved me some money not only on springs, but also on finding a junk motor! But on the junk motor, does any one have an idea at how much they go for at pick and pull places? And what about the transmission? Thanks alot guys!

Finally started the tear down today. Right now I am in the process of taking off the radiator. I drained the oil, radiator fluid, took off my exhaust, driveshaft, afm, and other various things. I plan to work through the night.

I have some questions though, I took off the distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Do I keep those for the TII engine or buy new ones when the new engine is in? I thought I would have to buy new parts.

Also where are the 7 bolts located for the engine undercover? Thanks alot guys.

Also you will be seeing some parts up for sale pretty soon. I am saling everying I do not need, so if you want dibs on something, PM me. I will be getting pics up and what not within the next 2 weeks.

Cant wait for this thing to role! Also, good news! My bday is in 3 days!! And to my surprise I found 2 rembersment checks totaling 435 from the university....bad news....165 went to a class I decided to enroll in and 105 went to an overdraft fee...back to good news, I got the overdraft fee reduced by $25 by being nice or something :-P . And to end it all with good news, I may be getting 1000 dollars from taxes and what not, yay!

Whoo! Calling it a night and will get back at it tomorrow. I have everything unplugged. I just need to take out the transmission and engine tomorrow I have part of my dash taken off and took off my door panels. Tomorrow I will take out my engine, transmission, rest of my dash, take pics and post them up. And hopefully post some things in the for sale section. Got alot more done today than I had imagined. This is going to be a FUN project!

I am going to go with a Garret TO4S turbo, Garret Intercooler, Tial 44mm Wastegate, HKS manifolds,Haltec E6k which I will get help from BDC with that, S5 engine(rebuild, large street port, and build strong internals- thanks will be given to BDC yet again), light fly wheel, new throw out bearing, Upgraded clutch from RB, Hawk brake pads, suspension is already taken care of with specialties springs(from RP) and tokico illumina(also from RP), my fuel will be taken care of with 720cc prime, 1000cc second, upgraded fuel pump and filter from RP, fuel regulator. Of course all the new oil lines, drive train, and other basics....How many of these parts I have? ehh...thats why Im taking my car apart and selling it!

The only thing Im not too sure but am almost positive on which one to buy is the muffler. I think I am going to purchase the HKS Hyper. But there are two contenders right now....A)Apexi N1 or the upgraded one and B)Magnaflow steel universal. But I really like HKS....three letters in a brand name is just so cool!

Interior...well pretty much custom.

Thats it for this post, tomorrow I will have pictures!

EDIT:
Can someone answer my question in my previous post? The question about the spark plugs, wires, distib cap, and rotor?

the plugs are different(and i would buy new ones anyway).what ecu are you using? if you are useing a gsl-se ecu then you need to keep the distributor, cap, rotor, wires, etc. if your going iwth the 2nd gen ecu then youll need to use the directfire set-up.

Good luck, dude! A 13BTT GSL-SE would be intense.

I remember ACJ13B's car had the 13BTT in it and it ran in the low 10 second range, IIRC. Badass car.

Good luck, again!
