probs with new injector install SE...
Basically what i did was pull off the reaction chamber, swapped in new injectors and put a new gasket into the intake and put everything back together. The car doesn't want to idle right but when given gas it runs fine. I swear i hear vacuum leak coming from what seems to be under the intake runners.
Is it possible that the new injectors didn't go into the seats properly? I pushed them into the fuel rail and then attached the rail to the motor, should have i just barely put the injectors into the rail and then attached it that way? I can't seem to find any lines that are off.
I took off the reaction chamber twice to try and see if i missed anything....grumbles, any ideas?
Thanks,
Bryan

There are several vacuum lines on the back (2) and front (4) of the DEI chamber that you need to be sure to hook up. One of these lines coming off will result in idle inconsistencies because you've bypassing air into the DEI chamber and intake that doesn't register on the AFM.
Recheck your vacuum lines there, and then be sure that you didn't accidentally crack one one removal/reinstall. Simple fix.
Could also be the gasket - you did put a new UIM/LIM gasket in place, yes?

If you are standing on the passanger side of the car for vac lines, i got the two on the right side, and the hose under, on the leftside i hooked up the four hoses, and on the back side i hooked up two hoses. So i am pretty sure that i got them all... Oh yeah and the hoses are silicon, so they aren't the prob.
Yeah i put in a new manifold gasket also.
I guess i will try spaying water or something (nonflamable) down around the manifold gasket and see if the car stumbles, and try spraying some other places, just not sure really.

One last thing, the new injectors had new o-rings and the lower seals, but i just realized after looking online that there is supposed to be a lower seal under the injector....could this be my problem??

Yes, but I don't understand that you said they came with lower seals, where did you put them? The O-ring up top seals in the fuel and if a larger seal is used on top it will be just to keep out dust. Down on bottom the large seals seal the intake to injector body, no o-ring.

Update on this,
the lower seal from the injector to the motor was the problem, the new seals were slightly too small, which was giving me a leak. I had to put the old hard seals back in to stop the leak. Going to call the company and have them send me the correct seals....
Also, should my A/F meter be showing rich at idle? The O2 sensor is new and the guage does change as the throttle is modulated.
Thanks again!

Glad you found the problem (lower seals) - these would cause an intake leak right where it matters most.
On your 'rich idle' issue - that's fairly normal. A rich idle will help to keep exhaust gas temperatures down and also helps to keep the idle smooth and steady. A lumpy idle, or hunting idle is a result of an overly lean mixture.
If it ain't broke - don't fix it!

Just in case you don't want to wait Bryan you can purchase the seals separately in an "injector sealing kit" by Borg Warner. It comes with the seals and oring. I got some from O'Rielly auto parts about a month ago. They are less than $10.

What I am going to do is try and have the company that sold me the injectors replace it with the proper seal, that or else i will buy a set and they will have to reinburse me, least that's the plan.
Thanks for all the help guys!
