Problems Warming up

Has anyone on here ever had issues keeping the cars warm? The temps here in NH are only in the 40's now and I can barely keep the needle above the C on the guage. During the summer she runs right around 1/4 of the way up, but now I can't even get it that high when racing around. Could the thermostat be stuck open? I also know that my fan is seized and spins all the time, want to go electric soon as I have the money. Any opinions on a quick fix?

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck. The seized fan clutch doesn't help either, along with being hard on the water pump bearings.

If the guage isn't going to at least 1/4 all the time then its innacurate or something is wrong with the t-stat and you already know your fan is shot... good luck with that delorean I want to see that ****...

Ok, got it fixed (in a way) took off the mech fan and took her for a drive (had the fan in the back w/ wrench and screws) and found she warmed up fine and held just over 1/4 the way up. I think the fan will stay off for the winter. And wow is there a difference when you take one of the seized fans off, not only does it sound better w/o the sound of a prop plane but the enigne revvs smoother. E-fan all the way for spring.

On the other note, ya the delorean is coming along slowly, I am taking my time want to make it into a show car. The biggest hold up that I have right now would actually be the interior I have a running motor in her (not the one I want) but the interior is shot from being in a shed in FL for 8 years. Hopefully if things go well this winter I will make some nice progress tho. Will post some pics once the 13b goes in. Am thinking about P-Port w/ weber instead of turbo due to it being rear engine, not sure tho.
