Well, the reason that he asks is that the P/S reservior (and the FSM) states to use ATF. Use Type F ATF. Other than that, nothing special is needed. I have used both ATF and regular P/S fluid in the past. Either seems to work well.

I use P/S fluid. No problems here. I think the reason for the FSM calling for ATF Type F is because it may have detergents in it. IIRC, auto tranny fluid has detergents in it to keep the system clean.
However, I run just P/S fluid, haven't run into one problem. You'll be good to go with either.
