i was t-boned making a left through an intersetion. She was going 50 and i was going maybe 20. Yes it was her fault and no i didnt get anything for it. My old insurance company declared it a no fault accident b/c there was no witnesses or proof for either of us.
Wasnt really hurt just pissed. Busted my lip on the steering wheel.
What really sucks about the whole thing is i had just sold the car for 2500 and the guy was coming from OK to pick it up 2 days later :/
Ill try to hook up my old computer and see if i can dig the pics up.
edit: what is deals gap?

Car had full roll cage most of the damage stayed up front. The transmission came through the tunnel and into the car. Rearend was bent in half from the driveshaft
Bent the steering wheel w/ my face. But the cage saved my ***!! 55-60mph t-bone

I'm guessing most of those 75,000 will die natural deaths from age, rot and neglect due to ill-informed and/ or unappreciative owners. But they'll leave behind many useful parts for the rest of us.

I read somewhere that there is a chance of significant life threatening injury when colliding an rx-7 fb head on at 35 mph into an unmovable object. Also that the leading cause of injury and death for someone between 15 and 50 years old is an auto accident.
After 50, it is heart disease. This excludes firemen , policemen , late night convienence store cashiers, and impoverished inner city dwellers.
In short, commuting is dangerous ****.

My old car was down right scary to look at. The sill panel seam pulled away, the floor board was headed towards the dash where your feet are. The dash broke in 2, the tranny tunnel buckled, and trany tail shaft went through the tunnel. The full roll cage stoped most of the car from crushing me. SO buy a roll cage, a full through the dash roll cage. These cars will eat you.

I know of several courts in the US where dangerous driving can result in a time in the emergency ward seeing the carnage. As an intern I did my spell there, and it makes an abatoir look like a humane place.

Here's my contribution....1980 Mazda RX-7 vs 2003 Cadillac Touring Beast in the rain. 45 mph vs. est 10 mph....he pulled out of a parking lot to the center lane and then changed to the right lane right in front of me as I came up on him...I hit the brakes, which locked, of course, but I had only a second to react to him anyway, since he jerked right in front of me...he was trying to join a bunch of other auction cars parked on the right side of the road......stupid old man...I put a lot of effort into that car and was so close to being able to say it was 98% finished.....and, yes, this was the curse of the new paint job syndrome...

I hit the back bumper area of the caddy, something hooked and it ripped off the bumper as it first shoved the caddy forward and then spun counter clock-wise, which is how the rear passenger side got crunched by the caddy's front bumper...
The arrow points to the plastic fan shroud which is just kissing the alternator area...the electirc fan motor just slightly bent one of the pulley rims, but the engine survived and sits in a cradle today waiting for Furious' stock 12A to shed its mortal coils...
I had my hands in a death clench at the 3 and 9 positions and bent that grant wheel in half, but suffered no injury to my own person. The door on the passenger side worked like normal and I was able to open my driver side, too.

All I can say is that just sucks. I saw the first pic and thought,no biggie, then scrolled down, ouch. Looks like you did an excellant job on the car, sorry to see it in the shape it is now, and an SA no less, damn.

Two flowmasters stacked side-by-side and welded together. With an Edelbrock SS muffler upstream after a 3-way catalytic converter, all 2.5", it sounded like an old English sportscar and you could actually talk in a normal voice inside the car, even with the Rotary Performance custom "header" with 2" primaries...it's all cut up and sitting in my garage right now. I'm trying to find an exhaust shop here in the Metroplex that has a mandrel bender to recreate the system with totally smooth bends.
