Possible vacuum problem please help.
I got back from a vacation and turned on my car and it started to idle at 1500 rpm. So, I figured it was a vacuum problem and looked around. I found one place that looked like a possible problem so I fixed it and everything seemed to be alright. At the same time I changed the distributor because I planned on doing it anyway. I turned on my car and it idoled at about 1000 rpm and everything seemed alright so I adjusted the timing but found out that my trailing spark plug was not firing. I also noticed that the car was runing to rich so I adjusted the mixture screw on the nikki carb but it didnt do anything. So, I am pretty sure that my trailing spark is not working because of the distributor so I am gonna put my old one back on but is the idle mixture screw not working because of a vacuum leak still? By the way I have an 82 12a. I dont know if there are two seperate problems or if there is just one problem. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on what I can do?

i got a 12a and once i rebuilt my motor and put in a electronic distibutor i could not get my trailing to fire either, not sure why but, i read that the trailing plugs dont fire all the time, they are only used in certian applications and mainly for emissions. right now my car has fuel line problems so im not driving it but i heard that you could run it with out the trailing not sure what others think, but if it runs give it a shot. some might not agree with me on runnng with out trailing but im just saying i heard you cuold. no sure about your vaccum problem though sorry
