Popping/rattling when hitting bumps.

On my 84 GSL-SE... I'm getting this popping/rattling sound when hitting even the smallest bumps. I crawled underneath and nothing seems to be loose or disconnected. It sounds like it's coming from the front passengerside... possible around the tranny. Does anyone have any ideas where I really need to start? Thanks in advance.

If it's doing it even on tiny bumps, suspect the brake calipers. Maybe the location of the sound is deceiving.

Thanks guys...
I went over everything...and yes...I believe it is the idler arm. At a closer view... it looks like the bushing is shot. Would it be best to replace the bushing only, or should I replace the whole idler arm? The other side looks fair, but I think it might be a smart idea to replace them both. Next question: Where and what is the best replacement on the market? Any ideas? Once again thanks for the input.

Acuspeed gave me the following link http://www.suspension.com/mazda.htm the other day on my post https://www.rx7club.com/vforums/show...threadid=19238

There prices are a bit better than VB, although VB is where I got all my bushings this spring. Makes a huge difference!

Hey... thanks guys. The info was great. While I'm down underneath my "7"... is there anything else I should look at? In other words... I guess I should just go ahead and replace ALL my bushings. Do you guys have any tips on shock & spring replacements? How about swaybars?
