which plug wires (opinions!! )
hey guys
just wondering which plug wires are decent
I can get the 8.5 or 8.8 (dont remember which number) millimeter ACCELs from canadian tire for like 40$.
that is close to race-type wire size
anything wrong with those? or is it actually worth it buying NGK or magnecor and having them shipped from the states??
racing beat also sells their ULTRA lign, are they that much better? then there's the jacobs rotary ignition ones from rx7.com
lol im a little confused
any info or opinions are appreciated
thanks guys
Zac

sorry, one more thing
i'm gonna be running the br9eq14 plugs as opposed to the br8eq14's
is this ok? the br9's are the cold type (race, high speed driving) and the br8's are the street, stock type
is there a big difference, and will i be ok running the br9's??
thanks again
by the way: the br9's are the only ones i could get here in the city, so im hoping they'll be ok
br8s: looks like i might have to order these from the states
thanks

Because you're a winnipeg lad, I'lll answer - But mar3's right - this was just covered.
The Accel 300+ 8.8mm are excellent wires (if that's what you're talking about) - if you can get them for $40 bucks, run down now and grab them NOW! If you're basically running a stock set up, 8mm are a very good wire (any type)- almost overkill - don't order out of the US - there's no point.
As far as plugs go, you might want to try the platinum turbo plugs for the 2nd/3rd gen. They fit fine in the 1st gen and I found them to last longer (IMO) - they have different heat ranges for the lead/trail - just buy them for a stock set up as if you had a 3rd gen turbo. They are avauilable in wpg at Piston Ring - about $18 each. Good Luck Pegger!!

Red wires add 10HP. Yellow wires add 7HP. Subtract 5HP if you got pink wires. Any wire over 7mm, add 10HP per mm. Magnecores are the best. Heat kills wires so remote refrigerated wire coolers help a lot. Maybe one could braid the cheap 6mm Bosch wires so you end up with 18mm. Hmmmmm..........

I'am thinking about buying the moroso Blue Max™ Spiral Core $31-summit, any opinions on them? The plugs on my car have not been changed in 7 years, i think it's about time! This is from moroso site: "One thing that any wire expert will tell you is that lower resistance wire radiates more EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) into its surroundings than higher resistance wire. Moroso Blue Max™ and Super Max 11™ Spiral Core is rated at 800 ohms per foot to provide excellent noise suppression" Is this good??
What else should one look for in a wire that is going to used on a street car?
