Question Plug wires from distributor to engine ?

The markings on the distributor cap show L1, Tl, L2, etc........

My question is which rotor is 1 and which is 2. I'm thinking the front rotor is 1 and the rear is 2 but somebody told me just the opposite. Do I have it reversed or are they right?

No flaming as I know this is a newbie question but my brain isin't working as well as it use to(not that it was great to start with).

You are correct. Front is #1. Smack whoever told you otherwise.

You're welcome.

Four minute response time.
I had just logged in and your post was the first new one.

Good luck with the distributor.

-John. (It's cold up here...)

Edit: How did the wiring turn out? Do you have spark?

Was busy being a husband and father today so I didn't mess with the car. I should have a chance to work on it Sunday afternoon. I'll have an mpeg eventually of it starting and running.

Just don't grab ahold of the spark plug boot on the dizzy while the car is running. I did that once being forgetful and jumped back a couple feet.

That's always fun. Better yet is if you grab one from a coil. It sparks twice as often and gives you a really great electric handshake.
