Please help. Damaged Koni shocks
Hi everyone. I had a question for the veterans out there, in regards to some strut inserts i have purchased.
I bought a pair of adjustable pair of Koni (red) front inserts from the good ol' market called eBay. When i have received them, they were slightly dented on the tubing (the red part). I would say it was dropped on a flat surface and maybe went in about 1 millimeter or so.
Would something like this affect the performance of the shock? I would guess the shape and the oil capacity might change. If not, is the outer portion just a shell?
Also, as far as the adjustment of the dampers, does this usually come with a ****? If not, can another tool, such as a allen / hex key used?
This didn't come with any instructions whatsoever, so i have no idea. Also, this will be my first set of Koni's (i usually buy Bilsteins or regular Gabriels or Monroes, which are all not adjustable). Thanks in advance!
