Pizza Delivery
Alright, I need a job pretty badly.
I may get a job for pizza delivery, which is good money +tips.
I live in a small town, but miles will still ad up fast.
I was wondering, as this may be my only chance for a job, is the rx-7 suited for daily, high-mile driving?
Will i spend the good part of my paycheck on gas?
My car has 160,000+ in the engine. Some people recommend just selling my 7, and getting a Honda, but I am too attached to my car to sell it.
Maybe work there for a while, then buy a cheap beater car with good milage, and use that for delivery, but keep my 7 garraged?
I appreciate your opinions.

Considering this would just be a temporary job and not a life long career just use the FB. If you sold it just for a stupid job you'd regret it later. Mines been my daily driver for over a year and its fine.

thanks for your advice; it's just a temporary job, until I get out of high school, or quit.
A little off topic, but how much would it cost to get my 12a rebuilt by a rotary mechanic?
The seals have not gone yet, but when they do I want to be prepared.

I work for Panago ( www.panago.com ). We get paid an hourly wage (minimum wage to start with), $.55 per delivery, and tips. working about 25 hours a week I make an average of $10 (canadian) in tips per hour, and then my wage of $8.00 an hour on top of that. I would DEFINATELY suggest saving up a few hundred bucks to buy a cheap, economical car to do deliveries with, like a Geo Metro, otherwise YES it will kill you on gas. All the idleing is what kills it in any car, especially with a rotary which is even less efficient at low RPMs..... TRUST ME...

Also a little off topic, don't quit school. And Keapon is right. Save up a couple hundred bux and get a Festiva or Aspire or some **** like that if you're gonna be stop and go. Drive your '84 to school to pick up chicks. If your rex is reliable enough to deliver for a short while, go for it...ya gotta do what you gotta do. But I'm sure it's not recommended to use as a work vehicle.

You'll spend a shitload of money on gas, probally be better off getting a job where you go to work and stay there, and then drive home. Screw pizza delivery tear up your car for their expense ?

Don't deliever pizza, you'll end up as fat as one of my friends who used to do it. Its the perks that will eventually consume you and I've seen it happen to a perfectly fit friend. All the left over pizza at the end of a night goes to the employees. Work at a factory or a Mcdonalds so you don't have to drive your Rx-7, which is not designed for pizza delievery! But if you must, don't eat any pizza, and drive a geo metro, save the Rx-7 for pleasure driving.
