Pictures of my Mazdatrix 12A streetport (install)
I finally got around to posting some pictures of my install. The engine has been in for over a week now, I'm just barely hitting 500 miles. I can't wait to really open her up. Check out these pics, what do you guys think?

Thats sweet! Did you put a clear coat finish over the paint on the engine? I just bead-blasted my engine parts. Wanna paint them before I put it back together. You block looks good.

Thanks guys. The install was a breeze, everything went smooth. It probably took about six hours to put everything in, engine, trans, rad, oil cooler, gauge wiring, a/c, etc. I got about 460 miles on it so far.
The housings came like from Mazdatrix, they do apear to be clear coated.

Very nice car, very shiny engine. I love the look of the racing beat intake too, very retro! Love the dual alternator belts too!
Number 1 in the picture, is that the crankcase breather or a mechanical gauge line?
Number 2 in the picture, is that the EGR block-off or just a thick piece that used to support the carb?
Nice shiny oil fill tube, too.

I noticed your fan spacer looks a bit short. If you can, maybe you ought to try to locate an FB aluminum spacer. It currently looks like the fan is too far back. Or maybe it was intentional? My REPU had one of those short spacers on it (it fit the fan flush inside the shroud).

remember to plug the line at the charcoal canister if removing it....
My car caught on fire today and the vapors from that line ignited into a big flame about 1 foot long ....very scary.

again, nice engine. hope you can keep up with me. lol
