ok can I point something out?

first thing I noticed that you can upgrade is the header. I see it's not equal length, eventhough you have duals all the way back, this is making you loose some power.

another thing. That 48 might be just a tad too big for a stock port. Also try to get an early time oil cooler instead of the crappy new style.

Looks good and I suggest you get started on a ported engine you already have all the goodies for a quick running car...a nice streetport and you are set for a while...then turbo...

ahh...forget about powersteering you don't need it...

I don't think you are loosing too much since you got a very nice dual setup. Seriously I don't know but the idea of having equal length is important one pulse helps the other exhaust pulse, all about tunning it.

Hey can you gimme some pointers on drifting? are you drifting withou lsd? I got no lsd now and I want to get one soon but I can't seem to find a donor.

Are you saying your headers don't connect? If so, you are losing power. Headers need to be joined "somewhere" in the line, the location is dependant on the porting.

i drift without a lsd but its pretty crappy compared to what I can do with a proper setup.

this is what I do to drift without a lsd.

first it has to be a left turn, torque transfer through a open will naturally go to the right wheel. if you turn right youll just smoke the tire.

get a idea of how much distance is needed to get to about 6000k in first,

I usually drift through intersections so Ill explain it from that standpoint. start from your set distance. run up hard in first toward the turn,
heres where it gets tricky,
as you enterthe turn, without taking your foot off the gas, turn left (about a quarter turn) and shift as hard as you can into second. if you shift at to low a rpm or dont shift fast and hard enough you wont break loose the tires.

am not familiar with your cars power or traction but you need to spin the tires as fast as possible so keep your foot to the floor. Countersteer through the corner and whalaahh, fat drift.

when you get your car properly set up you should be able to enter, complete and exit a turn all in one big slide, that is a true drift.

take some pix, im trying to set up some pix of my drifting in the rain but I dont usually drift on dry pavement because I lack the power to complete the manuver properly and it jsut looks bad. After my engine swap with a lsd axle this winter, my car should be a mad drift machine.

edit: on the exhaust thing; a stockport will make the most peak power with a fully uncollected system, pro 7 and spec 7 go full dual.

you will have a lot better powerband with a short primary system though.

Just out of morbid curiousity, what exactly is filtering the air going into the 48's velocity stacks?

I drifted with my automatic a few times... not anything radical, but it worked... the shift from 2-3rd is the hardest, and if you know your accelerator you can get it to loose traction and slip a bit... probably nothing worth video taping, but it's still kinda fun when you are sliding...
