If anyone is serious about buying this, let me know. I just talked to the seller and he is local to me, about 20 minutes away.
I was thinking about dropping by to take a look at the car, anyway - just to see a convertible up close and see how it's been done. If I do, I'll report back here with the condition and pricing if the guy is willing to sell outside of his E-bay listing.

Such a beautiful car. It'd look even better as an -SE 'vert with the stock wheels and such, I think. 1st gen convertible conversions are usually pretty flimsy in comparison to a stock one, right? Too bad its an auto, as well.

Awesome. I don't think it's a Pacific Avatar unless somebody else knows better. Looks very nice but probably needs some work for that price. First thing get rid of that auto!!!! wonder why the Carfax says 125,000 miles and he is saying 66k? kinda odd, but who cares. 13b would go in there nice. The dash is probably gray it just looks darker in the picture. Stop me my wife would kill me too.

Im almost positive its a PA car. They used a 626 trunk like icemark said. I dont know if anyone else did that. The others Ive seen didnt use that trunk. Yes they were out of CA. I have an old rotary rocket magazine from the old Rx7 national club and they advertised in there.

Could be, but other people could have used the 626 lid also, because PA used it. The only PA pics I have are on what looks like an '81 so I can't tell, and they might have changed a few things over the years. But didn't the PA's have some kind of lid that the top retracted into??

You can see in other pictures that the dash is actually gray; it just looks dark in certain light. 83's and earlier had black but the mark III cars (84-85) did not have black as far as I know.

that car only has 2 items that PA used on their cars that I can see. 1 is the 626 trunk lid and 2 is the epsilon wheels. the line where the roof was cut is wrong for a PA car and look at how the braces on the doors for the window where done, they are differant than the PA car. I can not find my pic from PA that shows where the top mounts to the windshield but from memory that looks differant also. carl what was the name of that kit car company on the east coast of florida that did the 930 rx7 conversions? the pictures look a lot like the convertable kit they sold. does it?
