Alas, I have no system yet, I'm shopping around for equipment right now. How good are those Infinity Kappas? I keep hearing people recommend them, but I've never actually heard them.

i used to have an old '82 accord in which the previous owner installed some infinity kappas. they freakin screamed. i'd recommend them fully.

Nice. I hear nothing but good from them, and they aren't that expensive if you know where to look. I'm heading to Circuit City anyway to pick up a wiring harness adapter, I'll listen to the Infinity speakers they have (reference, not kappas unfortunately) and see how they sound. My FC has Kenwoods, Kicker (bleh), and Rockford Fosgates in them, they sound good together but something is missing...

old pictures of my system, i have since changed my fronts to be bose, and the 6x9's now face forward (and sound SO much better). Also, If you are interested in those boxes (holding 10" subs) I will probably be selling it in May in order to make a new one ($150 + shipping)

::edit:: you can click on my cardomain link in my signature to see more pix of the system as well

Carlrx7 You have a wicked amp!!! That must pound.... I have 2 audiobahn amps in my winter car and they have been amazing! I have a 4 channel and the sub amp one model lower than yours.

Anyway my rx7 has

Big JVC double din deck, sony indash x-over, 2 blaupunkt amps, kicker impulse 6 1/2 rear, blaupunkt 4'' highs up front, and a MTX blue thunder 12 inch....

Sounds perfect, however all this might be removed to drop my 1/4 mile time

http://www.ub3rgeek.net/~mernisse/RX...exy-10-sub.jpg -- trust me, you don't want me to post the image inline

The generic Amps have since been replaced with a pair of Rockford Fosgate Punch 100x2's since some mother@*(%@#*(% broke into my car and stole the old amps.
One runs the rears, one is bridged and runs the sub. The stock Mazda "Clarion" amp runs the fronts. The stock joystick fader even still works.

I'd say street value of the system is upwards of 2500$ And worth every penny -- even tho I didn't pay that much

Quagmireman, I would be intereted into what type of box you are making. I thought I was the only other person on here that makes fiberglass enclosures.

There has to be more systems out there, come on guys!!!

Rotofire should have his system up soon. I sold him my 12" enclosures for the storage bins.

it is very similar to your. i layed foil and tape to form where my bins used to be then i made my mdf ring and used chickenwire (i dont know what i was thinkin, actually it was all i had laying around at the time next time i will stretch only) to make my shape then glassed it. Now i just have to beef it up. I am also puttin in a home computer as well as tv screen along with my clarion cd/mp3/wma player. I am selling off all my old stuff like cd players and subs and amps so i can buy more fiberglass.. dang that stuff is expensive.

Well i dont have a system in my 7 yet (not road ready yet) but I had been running a mid range DB comp car for a while, 147db F*&kin loud but had good quality at listening volumes, and all I had were 2 audiobahn 12"s paid $90 each i think and a good quality box with a Memphis amp, no extra batt or up graded electrical system. I sold the subs but still have the amp. for quality size and eficiency the memphis class D amps are amazing. they dont get hot and can for the most part be runn off of your stock electrical system. If your interested I sell you my amp I paid 700 for it I'll sell it with 4 gage wireing and all for $350 plus shipping This is a compition quality amp 1100 watt RMS 2200 watts max its about 9x12 x 2 about the same siza as the average CP keyboard
