Pic needed - GLS-SE and REW oil pans

Hi guys,
Anyone have both a GSL-SE and REW oil pans available that they can take pics for me? I would like them to be side by side to I can compare both. I've been unsuccessful at looking at separate pics of each. Let me know. Thanks!

What are you looking to see?

FWIW, the front cover is different between '85-earlier and FC. The FC cover is a lot shorter, so an FC oil pan is actually the same length as a 12A pan, but obviously the holes don't line up on a 13B engine... But I wouldn't doubt that the FD front cover is also different in size/shape as well.

What I'm trying to figure out is if it's fairly easy to make a hybrid oil pan using the front portion of the REW one and the rear of the GSL-SE. I know the REW front cover is shorter but not sure of the profile.

Basically what I am trying to think through is whether or not I can use the REW's front cover (welding a thick plate to the cover to mimic the front mounting) and a hybrid oil pan. I am seeing if this is going to be less work than swapping to a 12a/GSL-SE front cover/pulley, modifying cover for oil drain and associated line, wiring of TII CAS, modify GSL-SE oil pan for missing holes, etc.

the REW has a different front cover profile. i've seen people weld blocks to the REW cover for the front mounting, no idea on the pan though

If you can wait a couple of days, I should be able to post a side-by-side photo. I plan to pull my REW out this weekend to take some other photos and I should already have an SE oil pan laying around the garage somewhere. if I have not posted it by Monday though, remind me via PM because it's likely that I forgot.

I can definitely confirm totally different contours front and rear though.

yeah, no rush on my side. can you compare the height of both pans?

found some pics. here's what i am thinking...

cut on the white line and use the rear of the GSL-SE and front of the REW. the only thing i'd be worried about would be that the REW portion does not hit the subframe.

good news:
1. I actually remembered that I was supposed to take the photos.
2. the REW pan was right where I remembered leaving it.
3. I have a good stock of batteries for the camera.

bad news:
1. the one SE oil pan that's not still attached to an engine was NOT where I thought I left it.

I will spend some time today looking for it while i'm doing some work on the Gen II. since it's taking so long for me to get it together, I may even take some time to clean them before taking the photos. ;p
