I live(d) in Springfield for 18 years til college, so I am up there during the summertime and breaks. The car I have now has 1984 RX7 Plates on it. I bought it June 03 from Craig (85gs).
But
I do know the car you saw, it was my first car (85 SE) with the plates 1985 RX7, bought back in August of 2000, wrecked in June 02 by one of my friends who totaled into a curb hard (bent frame).
He did the stand up thing and bought it from me for what a paid for it. I had more in it but it was a learning lesson for both of us. He attended NVCC the last 2 years and now MASON.
He is still driving it as a DD with the bent frame, it has been wrecked minorly three times since then, tree in the road, spin out on bald tires, and hit and run.
It is still running around with almost 200k on the motor but now with different tags.

Doesnt PCA allow other makes in their events sometimes?

BlackRx7Turbo, would you happen to know an man last name Apicela? drives a red 911 of which the year escapes me, but prolly mid-late eighties. He's an instructor for the PCA, and lives in NJ... so i'd assume its the same club.
*shrug* had to ask.... i'm good friends w/ his son.
i need to get on a damn track.

I also met Craig... Bought an SE axle and front suspension off him a few months ago. Nice guy.

Yeah
The car seems to be on its way out, so if it goes Ill let you know before it goes to the crusher, he is considering getting a good body and swaping alot of stuff over and might possibly do a TII swap seeing as he is rather knowledgable about automobiles.
His project now restoring/modding a 73 Bronco while driving it and the RX-7. Neither of which are very reliable.
His older brother has a 85 GS with a streetport 12a yaw carb, SE suspension, ect. So it does kinda run in his family even though he got my car through the accident.

Yeah I was only on the track I believe for the second run, which was easy to miss, only 25 minutes or so.
Thanks about the car, its Craigs old one, and should be badass in a week or so (read sig) its got fresh paint now also.
No I didnt campout, just my friend and myself came, the drive home was only an hour or so. My Dad came out to watch me on his bike (72 BSA 650 Lightning, think Triumph) so all in all it was a good time.
