are parts cheap?
are these parts on Rx7's cheap? (First gen) My last car was a blast to drive, i had a porsche 944, but the parts for that car were very expensive... if i got one of these would that be the same?

humm that is really kind of a loaded question. Housing and rotors brand new run between 600-800. Now you could by a whole used car that might have only 80-100K on the engine and have perfect housings for 800-1000$, but then you would have a whole entire spare parts car. So are they expensive yes are they cheap yes are they fun to work on hell yes. before you know it you will have 2 cars and 3 parts cars your trying to get rid of
My sugestion get 3 and then you wont have any need for parts.

Check prices for OEM parts at www.mazdatrix.com, and check rebuilts, etc., at www.rockauto.com .

Yeah, the local junkyard is the first place to try. I've had a lot of luck getting good body parts, like fenders, hoods, etc., even winshields. Even some pristine leather burgundy seats.

Two that run, two junkers
But there was a time I had 7 in my yard. It is a disease. So my advice is buy the nicest RX-7 you can find and pay whatever it costs. Then get to be friends with the idiots that have the junkers in the back yard!

I am reminded of the advice that goes: "Don't get married and go through all that hassle, years of mysery, then the divorce, etc. Just find a woman you hate and buy her a house."
