painting in high humidity

ive been working on undercoating the bottom of my car and the area im working on is completely stripped of parts and cleaned and ready to paint. my area has a fairly high humidity level right now and i dont think its gonna change anytime soon which leads me too my question. i know your not supposed to paint in high humidity, but if i do it anyway will the results be that bad? i dont feel like buying a dehumidifier.

Are you painting inside the house or outside ? i wouldn't worry to much about it.. spray an area and test how it turns out. if your in an area and worried about overspray, or wind use some painters plastic and make a 'coral' or windbreak.

im painting inside my garage (with the door open of course ). im not worried about overspray, i am spraying the entire underside. i was just concerned about how the humidity would affect the durability of the paint.

humidity makes the paint wana run and take longer to dry.

p.s. watch your sweat also, seen the painter ruin a couple good paint jobs when leaning over the car and his sweat drops in the paint!

Carl.

watch it with undercoating, that stuff will trap moisture like crazy. If its really humid I wouldn't use undercoating, it could trap moisture against the metal and cause lots of rust. I'm doing body work on my gutted project car, and am just por15'ing it right now, I will undercoat it later when the weather is better.
