I would much rather see center caps on the wheels than the targa, find another home for it. Door handles look much better.

Post pics of the luggage bar and padded arm rest. I have the bar, but have yet to figure out how it mounts, lol.

Trochoid the bar mounts pretty straightforward. The L attachment off the bar as indicated in white circle mounts downwards on top of the retaining bar that holds down the carpet inbetween the cargo area and the beginning of the bins. The holes at the bottom of the bar as indicated in red go right into the base just below the bottom of the retaining bar. (does that make sense?)

Also attached pic of the very rare factory optioned padded console.

Something like this Doc? I never was sure because the bolt spread on the L brackets don't match the metal strip and wasn't sure if I needed to drill holes in the sheetmetal somewhere for the downleg below the L. If this is correct, then all I need to do is cut a couple holes in the carpet. Thanks for the help.

How about a full pic of this bar, along with measurements. I am intrigued by it.
I have "decent" fabrication skills, and could easily make myself an imitation.

Here's a pic with measurements, Happy fabbing. I would be inclined to widen the bar enough to use the stock screw holes in the metal strip to avoid drilling new holes in it. That would make the screw spread 39-1/4" OC, instead of 36". Loop width should be welded to match the luggage straps bolted to the floor. This one is 22" OC.

In case you can't see the tape measure, tubewidth is 36" center to center, total height is 6", dia. is 1/2". Wire loop dia. is 3/16", total height is 5/8" Tab is 1/2 X 1-1/2 X 3/16".

Still not sure why I bought this thing, other than it's rare and he was selling the RX7 filler between the tail lights too.

Leave the targa off but paint the Rims completely BLACk..that would REALLY set off the yellow.

I see. So it goes on the strip above the bins that holds the deck carpet in place? I guess to allow for straps and keep cargo from sliding forward?

Thanks, Scott.
I probably will go a little wider, and perhaps a bit taller. Might even add a second crossbar.
I wanna make sure my mini-floor jack and tool box stay put. They are standard equipment during road trips, and when going to an AutoX or open track event.
I wasn't aware these even existed, yet had planned to attempt something similar.
I'll find a way to post a pic of my "Improved" design, when it's done. Stupid digicam died on me, with the pics of my daughters wedding still inside........

You're welcome. I ran across this bar a few years ago on eBay and bought it for the novelty. Until Doc posted his, this is the only one I've seen. Someday it will go in the turd whenever I put it back together.

+1 for painting the rims black that would really accentuate the yellow
