Bad news i took my GSL around the block and it blew white smoke and seemed to stutter and lurch alot. when i got back and popped the hood the radiatot wa hissing and water/styeam blowing up thjrough the overflow. i scold the **** out of my hand too now i type with one damn hand.
oil pressure and water temp guages are not working. assumed all was fine because they showed good in the parts car i got engine out of.
what happened? bad thermostat? i thought the motor was good maybe not.
i know i sound retarded typing with one hand is hard.
where are the sensors for water/oil press.?

sounds quite familiar. just thursday i let the gsl-se idle for about 15 min, I was trying to burn off the wd-40 from heat shield by the cat conv. (I just had to replace it). and well I noticed the hood was steaming by the passanger headlite. I popped the hood and it was hissin and spewing steam.
well I let er cool for a bit then popped the cap from the radiator :* of f--- radiator fluid spewed about 12 ft in the air, covered the car and my driveway. well i replaced the thermostat, and it seems to run. I haven't let it really warm back up so I can't tell if theres any major damage. but this has been a project car from the get go so I got a grand an a half into it if it craps out well no great harm in the deal.
but I now have a passion for the rex.
