Opinion on a deal

I currebtly have an 82 GS which is my DD, and a fellow FB owner in my apartment complex has offered me a 79 SA with no engine or tranny and no wheels for $100, some rust on the hood and I have no idea about the interior. I have wanted an SA since I first saw one, and I want to take the car and put a 13b in it. Does it sound like a good deal?

can't beat $100, you could get that in parts.

The only problem I can see is having a place to store and work on a project car...

But yeah it sounds like the perfect candidate for an "ultimate project"... One of those projects where you strip it down to the metal and built it up from scratch If not, it still sounds like a good candidate for a TII swap...

That's what I was thinking. SA's look more bare bones than FBs and as such would make a perfect "ultimate project." I was planning on taking the deal, but I just wanted some other thoughts. I will look at the car this weekend and see if it has any rust on the unibody, storage bins and wheels wells, if it is clean than I will definately take it. Thanks for the input guys.

no storage bins, there are metal brackets in place of where they are. take the carpet off and you should see what i'm talking about and take those steel things out to look for rust.
